It was a fun morning for approximately 215 VMS students as they were treated to a movie at the Plaza Theater for having perfect attendance for the 1st Six Weeks. Approximately 82 6th Graders, 66 7th Graders and 67 8th Graders enjoyed the movie "Camp Hideout." The district provided the ticket for the movie, with the students purchasing their own snacks.
The VMS Success Rally for the 1st six weeks was held Thursday afternoon in the gym. Students who made the AB and A Honor Rolls for each grade received certificates, and prize drawings were held from among the students who made the honor rolls in each grade.
When the report was ran to see which students qualified for the 1st Six Weeks Perfect Attendance incentive trip, some students were left off the list due to an error where absences for athletics were counted against the students. This error has been corrected and notifications to those who were affected have been sent out.
Please remember tomorrow is an Early Release Friday. Also, most campuses are conducting parent/teacher conferences tomorrow afternoon and early evening.
