Join us for the 2nd Annual LIONS ROAR Tailgate on October 25th—a fantastic celebration just like last year's homecoming event! We invite Vernon ISD school clubs, VISD-endorsed organizations, local businesses, churches, and community groups to participate. Only Vernon ISD entities can sell items, and Vernon ISD will not be providing prizes for booths. This year, we’ll set up in the horseshoe drive in front of Vernon Elementary School for safety and celebration of our campus. Participants must supply their own materials and manage cleanup. The event kicks off at 4:30 PM, and booths can close as needed for the 7 PM game kickoff. If your group wants to participate, please complete this Google form by end of the day, October 4th. We can’t wait for a fantastic tailgate celebration! Questions? Contact Kori Eakin at kori.eakin@visdtx.org.

The students in Brett White's Pre-AP World History classes have been discussing early civilizations and were given the task of learning the 72 day process of mummification. Each group of students had to use "fine linen, herbs and spices" as well as write their names in hieroglyphics. Teachers were brought in to grade each mummy. Coach White said a great job was done by all of the students.
